CONTEXT
The mission of the financial department is to ensure that the financial statements provide an accurate representation of the financial situation of MSF Belgium and to guarantee the optimal use of financial resources.
As an intersection accountant, you are responsible for the entire intercompany process with the other MSF sections (incoming and outgoing). You independently handle the entries and reconciliations and ensure the monthly netting process. You are also responsible for the IC package in SAP for MSF International. Additionally, you assist the Senior Accounting Advisor with the management of funding contracts.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle the reinvoicing process between MSF sections within MSF Belgium

Act as the main point of contact for other MSF sections regarding cost sharing

Ensure compliance with MSF International's policy on cost sharing

Record debit notes from other sections while adhering to the validation chain

Draft outgoing debit notes

Manage the monthly netting process in TM5 with MSF International

Support the Senior Accounting Advisor in managing funding contracts

Oversee the IC package in SAP for MSF International

Reconcile assigned accounts and perform necessary checks related to your tasks

Assist the Head of Accounting during the annual external audit

Provide backup for specific tasks of the Accountant Treasurer during their absence
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting department

Knowledge of accounting and Belgian legislation
-
Ability to interpret and utilize accounting data

- Solid expertise in using various IT tools
- Advanced proficiency in database management systems
- Demonstrates openness to humanitarian challenges and objectives
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and precision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident and skilled in working with numerical data
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with the ability to synthesize information
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with ADFINITY is an asset
Languages

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken is mandatory

Good knowledge of French is required
CONDITIONS

Expected starting date: May 2025

Location: Brussels* (Belgium)
*Due to legal administrative constraints, given the duration of the contract, candidates must already have the permanent right as Belgian or EU national, and/or valid work permit with mention of "Unlimited access to the labor market" to work in Belgium

Contract type: Fixed-term contract –full-time – up to 50% homeworking possible per week

Contract duration: 9 months – maternity leave replacement
